The Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers is constantly revising and
changing the rules which govern our profession but you can't hardly find a
current copy of the rules anywhere on the internet. Even the copy on the
Board's web site is not current!

61G17-3.0025: Domestic
Equivalency Education Program Criteria for Applicants Who Graduated from
Non-ABET Accredited Surveying and Mapping Degree Programs. The purpose
and effect for Rule 61G17-3.0025, F.A.C., is to establish domestic degree
equivalency criteria for applicants who graduated from a United States
non-ABET accredited surveying and mapping degree program. In Rule
61G17-3.0025, F.A.C., domestic degree equivalency criteria for applicants
who graduated from a United States non-ABET accredited surveying and mapping
degree program are established. This new rule is effective as of 01/29/07.
61G17-5.001: Continuing
Education Requirements for Reactivation of Inactive License was revised
to amend the continuing education requirements for reactivating an inactive
license. In Rule 61G17-5.001, F.A.C., the continuing education requirements
for reactivating an inactive license are amended.
61G17-5.0043: Obligations
of Continuing Education Providers was revised to amend the continuing
education requirements for reactivating an inactive license. In Rule
61G17-5.0043, F.A.C., an incorrect citation is revised and unnecessary
requirements are deleted.
61G17-2.005: Statement
Regarding Lack of Insurance was amendment is to change the minimum
height of the letters in the printed statement called for in this rule in
order to conform with the requirements of rule 61G17-6.003(f), F.A.C. The
minimum height of the letters in the printed statement called for in this
rule are changed from 1/8” to 1/4” to conform with the requirements of rule
61G17-6.003(f), F.A.C.
61G17-9.004: Citations was revised as to what disciplinary offenses
may be resolved by citations and also revising the amount of money that may
be imposed as citation fines. The Florida Board of Professional Surveyors
and Mappers is removing a first time violation of Chapter 61G17-6, F.A.C. as
a citation offense and is increasing the amount of money that may be imposed
as a citation offense.
